Netfix is a Chrome extension developed by metermaid that aims to enhance the user experience on Netflix. This free add-on falls under the Browsers category, specifically in the Add-ons & Tools subcategory.
With Netfix, several improvements are made to the Netflix interface. On all pages, movies and TV shows no longer auto-play but instead redirect to their respective info pages, providing users with more control over what they choose to watch. Additionally, inline ratings are now displayed, allowing users to quickly gauge the popularity of a title.
On the homepage, Netfix takes it a step further by hiding bad recommendations and rated items. This ensures that users are presented with content that is more tailored to their preferences. Furthermore, slow sliders have been replaced with fast dropdowns, allowing for a smoother browsing experience.
The latestbug fix update addresses an issue where Netflix was throttling the extension due to excessive requests. To mitigate this, smaller requests are now made, and the homepage will direct users to specific genre pages instead of loading all movies at once. As a result, the extension should load much faster.
